Loft & Attic Ventilation done properly
Many Irish homes have had attic insulation topped up over the years, which is good for heating bills but can block the airflow at the eaves. Warm, damp air from the house then condenses on the cold underside of the roof. The result is dripping felt, black mould on the rafters and, over time, rotting timber.
We assess how air gets in and out of your attic and fit the right combination of eaves, roof-slope and ridge ventilation. Where existing vents are blocked or damaged, we repair them.

Frequently asked questions
Why is my attic wet when the roof isn't leaking?
That is almost always condensation. Warm, moist air rises from the house and condenses on the cold roof. Better ventilation lets that moisture escape.
Will ventilation make my house colder?
No. The vents ventilate the cold attic space above the insulation, not your living space. Your insulation keeps working as it should.
Can you add vents without re-roofing?
Yes. In most cases vents can be added at the eaves, in the slope or at the ridge without stripping the roof.
